• The Cameras are seen only as simple sensors, the raw video stream has to be transmitted to centralized servers for processing.
• Simple multi monitor visualization of the raw video streams is counter intuitive and fatiguing due to the massive load of raw video data and manual tracking/camera handover.

SmartSurv's visualization is capable of integrating the results of the whole sensor network in one consistent and geo referenced world model. Instead of showing raw video streams, only the relevant information is presented in one of the available visualization options (Google Earth, virtual reality 3D model).  Even the results of multiple such installations worldwide can be integrated in one model.

The tracking results of all persons/objects within one SmartSurv camera network installation can be seen in real time, where each person/object is visualized either as live texture or as abstract icon for increased privacy. Also the results of the activity recognition module is integrated by stylized icons. The live video streams can be displayed too but in the end it is not necessary for any video content to leave the camera at all.

Of course, multiple users can access all networks' data concurrently, each with a very own, password restricted access.

The visualization module is highly decoupled from the sensor network itself which allows for easy integration in other existing surveillance systems.
